The Doubter • Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” • “New Testament not correctly translated!” – pick & choose what they want and don’t want • “How do we know the Bible is the word of God?” John 20:30,31
False Interpretations • Use of Carbon 14 Dating to prove evolution – dates of rocks with known dates only off by .268 – 3.49 million years – ‘What date do you want?’ • 2 Peter 3:15,16 “beloved brother Paul… in all his epistles.. People twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.”
“Does not apply today.” • Baptist Manual, p22 they admit there was only ONE CHURCH in 1st century, but times have changed. • 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be …without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power…”
Sermon on the Mt. Applies Only to the Apostles • Attempt to avoid application of what Jesus taught on Divorce & Remarriage to All Men this side of the cross. • Matthew 28:20 “teaching them to observe ALL THINGS that I have commanded you…” • 2 Timothy 2:2 “the things that you have heard from me…, commit these to faithful men…to teach others also.”

Cannot Evade the TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD! • Matters not whether we ignore it Now, or try to explain it away… • It will stand as the criteria by which we will be judged in the Last Day – like it or not! • John 12:48 “the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day”
