  1. Enable Disability Studies Institute (EDSI)

  2. Introduction of EDSI EDSI was established in October 2009. Focusing on the social work and legal support for the disabled, it is dedicated to “promoting Convention on the Rights of the disabled, and practicing the concept of autonomic life”. It pursues a way of “developing research through service and improving service through research” to promote the development of disability field and facilitate the realization of the rights of the disabled.

  3. Ways of publicizing Purpose Help and encourage the disabilities to go outside who cannot go out by themselves. Use the Internet to do some Publicity. Connect with some volunteers to help us sort data.

  4. Financial resources Three foundations: Hong Kong foundation, German foundation and The Harvard prince foundation Own fund-raising

  5. International cooperation Do some cooperation with the German disabilities organization. Take part in their large activities.

  6. Problems First problem is the funds. Need to contact with famous enterprises. The lack of the full-time volunteers.

  7. College students’ participation Contact with some public organization of the colleges. Invite some volunteers to take part in some activities.

  8. Copenhagen UN Climate Change Conference 2009 • The number of all government • negotiators is about 10,000 • There are more than 20,000 • NGO representatives

  9. NGO in China With the development of NGO, they play a more and more important role in the disasters. For example, in 2008, when the Wen Chuan Earthquake happened, many NGO provide food ,water and other facilities to rescue the victims.

  10. Future of NGO: CSR & NGO • CSR Corporate-Social-Responsibility • Problem of NGO : shortage of money • Solution :cooperate with companies
