Library Hours • The library is open between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., including lunch. • Students wishing to come to the library during class time are required to provide a pass from their teacher.
Behavior Expectations • •Enter and exit the library in a quiet respectful manner • Provide a pass from your teacher during class times • Pass all library books to library staff prior to exiting through the alarm system • Please do not sit on the tables or counters. • Running or horse playing in the library is not allowed • All food and candy are prohibited from the library/ media area.
Behavior Expectations • Computers are not to be used for computer games, instant messengering, chatting, Face- book, MySpace, inappropriate, violent, or sexual websites. • Cell phone and electronic music devices are prohibited from being used in the library. • A disrespectful attitude toward other students and West Valley High School staff will lead to a suspension of library privileges.
Behavior Expectations • Only student aides and school staff are allowed behind the check-out counter. • Please ask for assistance when obtaining printer copies. • Exit the library through the media checkpoint bars. • No gathering of students around the computer aisles.
Book Check-Out Procedures Students may check out up to three books at a time with a 3-week time limit. Extra time is automatically computed to not include holiday breaks. Magazines are not available for check-out.
Book Check-Out Procedures • Overdue fines are not charged for late books, but library privileges are suspended on delinquent accounts. • A lost book will generate a fine of the cost of the book plus a $2.00 processing fee. Damaged books may be fined a nominal fine for repair. Unpaid fines suspend library privileges until paid directly to library school staff.
Additional Media Services • Students may obtain the following information from the library/media specialist: • • Computer Password • • Locker Assignment • • Photocopies Related to Education • • Pay Library and Textbook Fines
