4 Investments by Chinese companies in Bulgaria Chinese companies that have already chosen Bulgaria as an investment location: Economic sectors with highest potential for attracting Chinese investments: • Huawei and ZTE : • Huawei Bulgaria Branch opened in 2005 and has become one of the main suppliers to Bulgaria telecom industry • ZTE opened its office in Sofia in 2001. It operates successfully on the Bulgarian market, providing telecommunication equipment and network solutions • Great Wall/ Litex Motors: • Litex Motors factory near Lovech is the only assembly plant for Chinese automobiles in Europe • Production started in 2012.
