Why is it important that teachers are specially prepared to teach ELL students?
What are we going to do? • The four Methods courses will be focused on best practices to teach ELL students. • Those best practices will also benefit non-ELL students. • The courses will be integrated: co-teaching. • The instructors will work with your schools and CT’s to keep the TOSS experience coherent, efficient, and fruitful.
ESOL COHORT SCHEDULE*First 10 weeks of the Fall Semester After the first 10 weeks, you will be at your field placement, full time, M-F, teacher hours. That is the TOSS policy.

What will our classes look like? • Integration of content areas – Co-Teaching • Assignments: a) Integrated lesson plans b) Interviewing students to know their thinking c) Building up tools/manipulatives
