15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15
Why do you think they call it a “selfie”? Our best bet for successful growth is to clear the rocks, thorns and weeds that are already there.
“In the beginning . . . .” “. . . but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil . . .” Genesis 2:17
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8
9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” Genesis 3:9-10
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” Genesis 3:11
Yes, I ate from the tree and I take full responsibility for my actions. Do with me as you will but leave Eve out of it, she is totally innocent.
12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” Genesis 3:12
Our first reactionfor the rocks, thorns and weeds in our life is to blamesomeone or something else.
13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:13
Blameenables us to smugglethe rocks, thorns and weeds into our future.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
Amazingly, when we take responsibilityfor our self, we can see more clearly.
