  13. Prophase: chromosomes (coiled DNA) are visible and the nuclear envelope is gone. DNA is in the form of chromosomes

  14. Metaphase: the chromosomes line up across the center (middle) of the cell.

  15. Anaphase:centromeressplit and chromosomes move away into two groups near the poles of the cell So, each chromosome consists of two identicalsister chromatids. Each pair of sister chromatids is attached at an area called the centromere.
