Who reviews COEs in your MEP? • Recruiter • Designated SEA Reviewer • NGS Data Specialist How many of your SEA Reviewers have other roles in the district? How many of you serve more than one of these roles?
From the Id&r Manual • Who is the first reviewer of a COE? • Read through the language from p. 3.2; highlight the information that indicates a recruiter is a reviewer of a COE and COE SDF. Why is it important to try and catch and correct as many errors as possible prior to submission to your reviewer?
How do you review a COE? • Talk with your group. • Record in your packet- Method, Pros, Cons • How do you review a COE? • Do you create a checklist? • Do you go keep the manual handy as a reference and review certain blanks on the COE? • Do you read each blank from the top of the COE to the bottom of the SDF and compare it to the manual? • Do you have another plan of attack?
Time to Review • When you review, do you use red or black ink? • Use red ink to cross off, initial, date, and write in correctedinformation. • Use blue or black ink to add missing information that has not been corrected.
Carousel COE Review • Move to your assigned poster. • Review the COE with your group, using ID&R Manual Sections 1 & 2 and your resources. • You will have ten minutes. • Divide and conquer! • When time is called, return to your seat.
Carousel Debrief • Switch poster groups: • 1 and 2 • 3 move to 5 • 5 move to 4 • See if this group found any errors you did not.
