Great MigrationIce Age • • Between 2 million-year and 10,000 years ago, Earth experienced long periods of cold climate, known as the Ice Age. • During each period, average temperature in most parts of the world fell below freezing and massive glaciers covered large portions of Europe, Asia, and North America and the ice fields of Antarctica stretched over wide regions in the southern hemisphere.
• As glaciers formed during the Ice Age, Land Bridges appeared which allowed prehistoric man to migrate into new areas. Migration- movement from one place to the next
