The Post office Hi! Anja, Today 30 of March, our teacher took us to the post office to send the teddy bears for our friends in Slovenia. We reached there late because of the traffic. First, we met a Lady who will send the bears to our friends, she was very kind with us. Then we took some pictures with our bears.
After that, we put it in a box and gave the Lady to send it. The building was huge and magnificent. Before going the lady she gave us a nice gift and different beautiful stamps. Finally, I took some pictures with my friends for souvenir and I was so excited. Yours: Aisha
Ceramics café Hi! Anja, Today 23rd of April, my teacher took us to ceramics café in the Mall. When we arrived there, the Mall was empty and the shops were closed. When we went inside the café, we sat all in 4 in 1 table and then the waitress taught us how to paint the ceramics, it was very nice, but a little bit hard, so we were listening to her carefully.
After that, they distributed the ceramics and the figures were frogs and flowers. I picked the flower because it was so beautiful and I began to paint it, it was fun, but it's too difficult for me because this is the first time for me to do like this work. After painting the flower, I picked some pictures for mine and my friend's ceramics. Then I looked around with my friends in the café to see the different kinds of ceramics, they were very wonderful with different shapes such as shoes, butterfly, money box, cats and many kinds of real shapes. After that the waitress taught us how they make the ceramics and how they burn it. It was amazing thing, I really love it.
Finally, before going back to the school, we ate our meals from McDonalds. This trip was so nice. I learned so many strange ideas. I'm sure that you will have fun if you were with us. Bye for now.
Islamic Museum of Art Hi! Anja, Today the 27th of April, my teacher took us to the museum of Islamic Art and I was very happy when I heard that we will go there because this is the first time I visited it. First, we took a picture for the museum. It was magnificent and very huge, I really like it. When we entered the museum, the guide came to us and he gave us some information about this museum. He said it was opened to the public in December 2008. It draws much influence from ancient Islamic architecture. It has a total area of 45000 m2 and lies on the edge of Doha harbor at the south end of Doha It consists of seven floors, two of them form a hole in the water. The seven floors consist of permanent galleries, restaurant and high level management for the museum. It contains rare treasures brought from all parts of the world. When the guide finished, we went to see what's inside this museum. We saw many marvelous things such as, works of ceramics, metal work, jewelry, wood, glass and carpets. Also we watched a piece of tent empire silk and filled with some Quran verses and decent dress woven silk and gold threads. The most thing I like the carpets which designed by gold and silk. When we finished our teacher took us to McDonalds to eat our meal. It was really and nice trip.
