UN-RIAS Operational Sub-GroupTerms of Reference Purpose: • Discuss common operational issues affecting Internal Audit Services (IAS); • Deal with requests on audit issues from UNDG and UNCTs; • Deal with tasks identified at the annual UN-RIAS meeting; • Deal with common audit issues identified by the UN Panel of External Auditors • Part of the UNDG WG on Joint Funding, Finance and Audit Issues (JFFAI); Membership: One representative from all UN Organizations Chairperson: Nominated by consensus and rotated on a yearly basis Current Chair (UNDP) is also the spokesperson of UN-RIAS to the CEB. Meetings: Every 6 to 8 weeks (includes audio conference with locations outside New York

UN-RIAS Operational Sub-Group Governance arrangements: • Annual work plan is prepared and adopted by the UN-RIAS Operational Sub-Group based on inputs/requests from RIAS, UNDG, DOCO, CEB, & Panel of External Auditors/UNBOA; • Reports on the results of its work to the UN-RIAS annual meeting; • Attends and briefs UNDG at its meetings. Consults with UNDG on normative issues, as appropriate; • Supplements the efforts of the UN-RIAS spokesperson to the CEB by identifying common internal audit issues affecting UN organizations.
