What intervention did you carry out? Surveillance patients informed of AAA size at point of scan. Incorporated section in leaflet for patient to record AAA size
What intervention did you carry out? Treatment patients are for patient to record any concerns Section for physiotherapist to record individualised recovery plan
What worked/ didn’t work? Surveillance patients in those where measurements unchanged is reassuring at point of scan Limitations where an AAA has increased in size as technician cannot discuss management plan Telephone number included in leaflet for those requiring further information prior to letter or outpatient appointment
What worked/ didn’t work? EVAR short stay (48 hours) some may not be seen by physio before discharge For those patients with longer stay or open surgery then individualised plans more effective
What are the next steps? Possibility of telephone follow up 1 week post procedure Development of post operative EVAR integrated recovery pathway
