  4. Qin Dynasty • Qin Shihuangdi, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, centralized the government and standardized roads, and weights and measures • He followed the philosophy of Legalism – and his tomb might be familiar

  5. Han Dynasty • As the Qin Dynasty collapsed, the Han Dynasty was founded by a peasant, Liu Bang • The Han Dynasty’s greatest contribution was establishing the Confucian Education System

  6. Han Dynasty • It was also a time of great expansion • The Han Dynasty is often compared to the Roman Empire – but that’s another story
