GEI Team Schedule GEI Team: • GEI Meetings occur every three weeks, and it is through this systematic approach that we ensure that every child is being served according to his/her needs. We GAURANTEE that every child can and will learn at high levels! • The members of this team include: School Psychologist Kelsey Baker, Guidance Counselor Emily Thilges, • Principal Kim Tierney, Speech Pathologist Tanya Haase, Deb Jurrens or Sandy Sabelka (depending on grade level), Grade Level, Special Education Teacher, and Occupational Therapist, SRO Terry Dehmlow (if available). • Teachers must fill out the Response to Instruction Student Profile (See Document) for each child • that they reference during this meeting time. • The teams job is to determine the specific learning needs of each student in need of intensive support • Diagnose the cause(s) of the student’s struggles in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Determine the most appropriate intervention(s) to • address the student’s needs. • Frequently monitor the student’s progress to see if interventions are achieving the desired outcomes • Revise the student’s interventions(s) when he or she is not achieving the desired outcomes. • Complete an Instructional Support Action Plan (See Document) • Support Team – Guiding Questions • Who is at risk? • Why are they at risk? • What are we doing? • Is it working? Are Kids Responding?
