Regional importance of Latin America? • Mexico, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Venezuela provide 75% of U.S. crude oil imports. • Angola, Iraq, Ecuador and Brazil and Algeria provide an additional 15% of our oil supply. • Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador and Brazil supplied the U.S. with 3,335 million barrels of oil per day (bpd). • Including Colombia’s 108 thousand barrels the Latin American region provides 3,443 million bpd. • This is approximately 34.9% of the U.S. daily supply (9.860 million bpd).
