  5. MAPIR Activity – Current • Three entities participated in live tests during the week of 10/10/2011, and attested • A Hospital • A Practice practice (4 providers) • An FQHC (many providers) • Three hospitals are registered, presumably planning to attest • Approximately 140 eligible providers have registered • 25 providers have attested and are queued for review • Many New Hampshire providers are registered • Summary: the response for the first few weeks of operation have far exceeded our expectations VITL Meaningful Use Webinar 10/20/2011 - Terry Bequette

  6. Problem Areas with Attestations • Getting into MAPIR: • You must have a User ID for the VT Medicaid Portal • The User ID you use must be associated somehow with the Provider’s Medicaid ID whose attestation is under consideration • In the VT Medicaid procedures, this is the concept of a “Trading Partner ID” as you or your practice, hospital or group is establishing a Trading Partner relationship for purposes of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). • Review the web document that discusses this issue: • http://1.usa.gov/ozXl0m VITL Meaningful Use Webinar 10/20/2011 - Terry Bequette

  7. Problem areas (continued) • Administrative challenges • Association of group identification and group data to providers being grouped together in MAPIR • This is our (VT’s) problem, not yours (Providers) • Proceeding with caution to make certain our processes and the data that results is accurate and appropriate • But we do expect to approve our first payments next week • Staffing issues • Funding came late; haven’t hired for positions • Chose to not delay the launch VITL Meaningful Use Webinar 10/20/2011 - Terry Bequette
