  1. LOFAR synergy between EoR & MKSP Ger de Bruyn ASTRON & Kapteyn Institute MagnetismKSP - meeting, Cambridge, 25-26 Mar 2009

  2. Areas of synergy between MKSP and EoR Foregrounds are polarized: one groups noise (EoR) is the other groups signal (MKSP) Separating intrinsic from instrumental polarization is in both groups interest Observational synergy: interest in same areas of sky, either for real observing or for commissioning purpose only Learning and calibration strategies may be similar Common storage of visibility data ( e.g. if storage/processing physically close Data volumes go up to 0.5 -1 PB Developing and sharing (re-)processing software and hardware Efficiency in human CPUs (due to common membership)

  3. Common commissioning targets FAN region : extended probe (>5 degrees) at good dec +66 Pulsars: as probes/calibrators of ionosphere, to study ISM RM structure of our Galaxy Radio galaxies (as calibration probes) NCP region: target for EoR and year-round accessible at night also contains a very bright polarized (at 610 MHz) source (3C61.1) ! Other ?
