VET and Work placement • All VCAL have a VET and a work placement • You must successfully pass VET to continue on with VCAL • Possible VET Subjects -Community Services -Sport/REC -Automotive -Hospitality -Dance -Building and Construction -Hair and beauty
WHY? Completing work placement provides a practical application to the theory you will learn in a VET subject. Also assists you to begin to develop a contact network to help you with an apprenticeship in the futrure.
VCAL Intermediate Timetable VCAL students attend classes three days a week, attend VET and Work Placement on the other two days.
PDS delivery structure • High level focus on community projectpartners and mentors Learning Outcome • LO 2 Plan and organise a complex community project or activity. • Project focus (intermediate level): Health and wellbeing • Completed 5W’s planning templates • Ppt, photos, excursions, demonstrations, products, models • Letter to principal • Demonstrate project outcomes practically • Write a newsletter article Inc. photos etc. • Write a written evaluation on your personal achievements and challenges based on your project. • Evidence portfolio
