Stars in Circles – Let’s Play! • Each pair will receive a packet with: 2 different color dice, 2 numbered sheets of paper, and directions. • The person whose birthday is up next rolls both dice. • The white die will be the number of circles and the colored die will be the number of stars. • Each group has numbers they are not to use. If you roll that number, roll that die again. • Place the “stars” in each circle. • Write the number sentences: • Ex: 3 groups of 2 stars equal 6 stars or 3 x 2=6 • Show another way based on the book and the Smart Board presentation to figure it out. Use your number line worksheet also. • Share with your partner and check.
