5. S.A.C.E. DEFINITION OF COMMUNICATION This capability helps to explore your ability to communicate with others. Part of this could include building on your literacy and numeracy skills, or clearly expressing your ideas and opinions.

6. PERSONAL DEFINITION OF COMMUNICATION The application of being capable/trying expressing your understanding, opinions and ideas across. Using mediums such as, email, chat websites, text message and blogs etc.

7. HOW I COMMUNICATE • Through up to date and old methods of communication. • Using popular methods of communication, such as Facebook. • Using hand gestures • Imagery • Eye contact • Body language

8. MY BEST METHOD OF COMMUNICATION AND WHY I would have to say my best method of communication is writing, as I have more time to think precisely what I wish to say, in order to try and receive a response or receive an answer I am looking for.

13. HOW DOES THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DEVLOPING MY COMMUNICATION SKILLS MAKE ME FEEL? • I am proud to say that in using my communication capability, I have developed my confidence in talking to people and with that the volume of my voice from a mumble, to a someone is listened to and heard.

MY STRATEGIES TASK Capability: Personal Development • Learning new words in my chosen language of Chinese helped me personally develop in the process of doing the task as I developed all of my other capabilities. • I have also personally developed as I have had to be stern on myself in doing the tests two times every week. I also built up my organisation skills in doing this task which has helped me personally develop as I am now able to manage my time better. • I also personally developed by broadening my mind in figuring out and using different strategies to learn the new words.

HOW DO I FEEL HAVING PERSONALLY DEVELOPED? • I am very happy with the way I have personally developed through out this Stage 1 P.L.P. course. • I feel great knowing I have personally developed in all of my other capabilities and that I will continue to personally develop into the person I would like to be some day.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at my place of work experience and have been told I can come back for more.

MY STRATEGIES TASK I developed and demonstrated my learning capability by undertaking the Strategies Task (Strategy chosen: Learn 50 new Chinese characters, their pinyin and English translation) by: • I developed my learning capability as I have broadened my spectrum of different methods of learning. I used the method of listening to the words and writing in Chinese. At times I used the “Language Perfect” website, where I was able to learn fifty words in Chinese.
