  2. Alligator Mississippiensis Also called the American Alligator. This alligator is most commonly found in fresh water swamps. Their diets is mostly fish, turtles, relatively small mammals, and other reptiles including smaller alligators. This species can grow to be 14.5 feet.

  3. Alligator Sinenis Common name is the Chinese Alligator. As the name suggests it can be found in China in slow moving rivers. They can grow to be up to 6 feet. This species eats mainly aquatic Invertebrates.

  4. Caiman Crocidilus The Spectacled Caiman lives in Northern South America in most low wetlands. They eat many fish, amphibians, water birds, and if the specific crocodile is very strong, wild pigs. It can grow to be six feet long.

  5. Caiman Latirostris More commonly known as the Broad-Snouted Caiman this animal can grow to be 10.5 feet long. It mostly eats invertebrate aquatic animals. But when they mature their jaws are stronger and can crush turtle shells. It lives in Central South America

  6. Caiman Yacare The common name is Jacare Caiman. This animal is found mostly in Central South America in wetlands. This species diet consists of aquatic invertebrate. It can grow to be nine feet long.

  7. Melanosuchus Niger Largest species of alligatordae. It can grow to be six meters long. Most commonly found in northern South America. It eats mostly fish and aquatic invertebrate. More commonly known as the Black Caiman. Found in slow moving rivers.

  8. PaleosuchusPalpebrosus Also known as Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman. Lives in fresh water, forested rivers. It mostly eats invertebrate aquatic animals. This animal can grow to be 1.5 meters. It can be found in northern South America.

  9. PaleosuchusTrigonatus • Most commonly known as Schnieders Dwarf Caiman. This species can grow to be 2.3 meters. It is found in freshwater riverine’s. Its diet is mostly snakes and other some small mammals.
