What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything? • ‘I think the problem, to be quite honest with you, is that you've never actually known what the question was.’
We hold positions on issues and events, again, forming these both instinctively and after a period of consideration. • How did you get there? • Where did your knowledge come from? • What influenced you to take the position you eventually did? • We already know what we think. But what is the reason for what we think?
What led to the first story being rejected, and the second one accepted? • Why do we now have as part of our scientific and technological knowledge the awareness that animals can be cloned, and not that airplanes are able to make it into space? • We have our ways of knowing to inform us, but how do they work on the knowledge we are presented with to reach a conclusion about its validity?
