What Started The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act? • 1937 there was a terrible mistake. • Elixir Sulfanilamide Disaster. • Sulfanilamide- Diethylene glycol was used to dissolve the drug and make a liquid form. • Killed 100 patients.
