  2. About The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act • Passed in 1938. • It gave authority to overlook the production of food, drugs and cosmetics. • Outlined a suggested lax enforcement. • In recent years it has been tossed aside.

  3. What Started The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act? • 1937 there was a terrible mistake. • Elixir Sulfanilamide Disaster. • Sulfanilamide- Diethylene glycol was used to dissolve the drug and make a liquid form. • Killed 100 patients.

  4. Agricultural Act (AAA) • Lower crop surplus and the value of crops to rise. • Passed in 1933 and enacted in 1938. • The government payed a sum of money to not plant part of their farmland. • Agricultural Adjustment Administration • Production And Marketing Administration
