Shattered Lives: What does it look like? It consists of: • National and trade press advertising • Local radio advertising • Supportive regional publicity • Direct marketing • A website • Inspection activity
Shattered Lives: Why are we doing it? • Falls from Height are the most common cause of workplace fatalities • Slips and trips are the most common kind of major/serious injury
Shattered Lives: Who is it aimed at? Sectors with a prevalence of slips, trips and falls injuries: • Food & Drink Manufacture • Food Retail • Catering & Hospitality • Construction; and • Plant & building Maintenance
Shattered Lives: Main Messages • Slips and trips: there are simple actions you can take to minimise the risk • Falls from height: ensure workers are competent
