What is the Big Bang theory Most astronomers believe the Universe began in a Big Bang about 13.7 billion years ago. At that time, the entire Universe was inside a bubble that was thousands of times smaller than a pinhead. It was hotter and denser than anything we can imagine. Then it suddenly exploded. The Universe that we know was born. Time, space and matter all began with the Big Bang. In a fraction of a second, the Universe grew from smaller than a single atom to bigger than a galaxy. And it kept on growing at a fantastic rate. It is still expanding today. As the Universe expanded and cooled, energy changed into particles of matter and antimatter. These two opposite types of particles largely destroyed each other. But some matter survived. More stable particles called protons and neutrons started to form when the Universe was one second old. Over the next three minutes, the temperature dropped below 1 billion degrees Celsius. It was now cool enough for the protons and neutrons to come together, forming hydrogen and helium nuclei. After 300 000 years, the Universe had cooled to about 3000 degrees. Atomic nuclei could finally capture electrons to form atoms. The Universe filled with clouds of hydrogen and helium gas.
How could a star explode when there was nothing? There is a new theory called the M-Theory 'M-Theory' is the name of the unknown theory of everything which would combine all five superstring theories and the Supergravity at 11 dimensions together. The theory requires mathematical tools which have yet to be invented in order to be fully understood. The theory was proposed by Edward Witten. The following article is somewhat technical in nature, see M-theory simplified. M-theory's relation to superstrings and supergravity M-Theory in various geometric backgrounds is associated with the different superstring theories (in different geometric backgrounds), and these limits are related to each other by the principle of duality. Two physical theories are dual to each other if they have identical physics after a certain mathematical transformation. Type IIA and IIB are related by T-duality, as are the two Heterotictheories. Type I and Heterotic SO(32) are related by the S-duality. Type IIB is also S-dual with itself.
What force was used in the big bang? • If it had been smaller than a pin head a force that would of been used is push. The air inside the bubble would have pushed on the inside of the bubble and made it expand like a balloon.
