  2. Zhovtneviy district– is the land of farmers and workers. The district successfully overcomes barriers to stabilization and improvement of social and economic state as well as people’s well-being,and it takes a leading place among other districts of Mykolayiv region. The authority’s priority project is to create welcoming conditions for investment in the district. Zhovtneviy districtwelcomesefforts, goodwill, financial resources for its good.   3. Zhovtneviy district Founded in December 1938. Situated in the south of Mykolaiv region. Borders of the district in the west it is washed bythe Bugsky estuary.The Ingul river flows past its south-western part. Occupies the area: 1400 sq. km (6,5% of the region’s territory). The number of population centers– 44 (2 villages of town type, 42 villages)

  4. Natural – resource potential Water resources:the Bugsky estuary, The Ingul, ponds- 407,32hectares. The total area of the state forest fund– 2662,27 hectares. Agricultural forests- 121,76 thousand hectares, incl.: tillage- 109,33 thousand hectares Mineral resources: loam, sand.

Industry • Industry in the district is represented • by recycling sector(100%), incl. • food industry– 99,0 %; • oil processingindustry – 1 % • There are 42 industrial institutions in the district in all, incl. 15 large ones. • The number of workers in the sector is 3,8 thousandpeople. • The industrial output of the (work, service) as of 1 October 2010 – 2099,8mil. uah, which makes 16,6 % of the district general index.

  10. Main industrial institutions LLC “Sandora” The chiefbudget forminginstitutionof the district. The industrial outputfor 10 months 2010 is 1586,8 mil. uah, which makes 120% fourth-to-fourth. Industrial OutputLLC «Sandora»

  11. “Organic Systems” Complexwhich deals with tomatoes processingwith the output of 180 000 tons per season (3 000 tonsof potatoesin 24 hours). Put into operation in 2009. Volumes of drawdown for the period 2009-2010 are over 200,0 mil. uah.

  12. LLC “UkrainianSugar Company” Specialization: sugar production For 9 months of the year 2010 the amount of white sugar production is 356,4 mil.uah. The output is 322,5 mil.uah. Volumes of drawdown for 9 months of the year 2010 are 3 mil.uah.

  13. Agriculture • The main fields of agriculture: • crop production(grain production, growing of industrial crops, vegetables) • Livestock raising (cattle, swine, sheep). The number of people working in this field– 1855persons. The most suitable for growing innatural climatic conditions of the district isspringand winter wheat. While introducing trickle irrigation it is also reasonable to grow tomatoes, onions, cabbage.

  14. Leadingagricultural institutions of the region. “Vladam” • Specialization: • growing of vegetables, • producing oftinned vegetables and juices.

  15. LLC “Tekhmed-Yug” The main specialization: swine breeding, production of sausage goods

  16. Education 69 educational establishments: - 35 secondaryschools, - 33 preschool institutions, - 1 extra-scholastic educational institution

  17. Culture There are such establishments on the territory of the district as: 37 club institutions, 25 library branches, 3 elementary specialized art establishments, museums.

Sport On the territory of the district the corresponding sporting basis has been created: - 43 sports grounds: - 24 football fields; - 11 volleyball grounds; - 3 grounds for volleyball; - 1 basketball ground; - 4 gyms. The teams of the district are constant winners and prize winnersof regional and country sports and games.

Tourism • On the territory of the district the following institutions function: • Yacht-club „Lymany”, • recreation centers „Ruska Kosa”, „Alonushka”, „Maiak”. • The highlight of the tourism isthe entertaining complex „Tampliier”, which is situated betweenMykolaiv and Khersonand occupies the area of 1 hectare. • On the territory of the complex there is a hotel, bathing complex, a pond and a restaurant– the total area is 800 sq.m. • Picturesquenatural landscapes, forest expanseand historical places– all that is an excellent potentialfor development of green and country tourism.

  22. LLC “Mykolayiv elevator” In 2009-2010 the enterprise drew17,1 mil. uah. The money was directed towards reconstruction of the industrial territory and re-equipment.

Investment projects Reconstruction and re-equipment of cattle slaughter area Initiator of the project: Zhovtnevyidistrict consuming society The core of the project: reconstruction of the building, purchasing of equipment. The total amount of required investment: $500 thousand. . Reconstruction of „Zhovtneviy Khlib” The name of the enterprise: „Zhovtnevyi Khlib” The core of the project :Reconstruction and re-equipment of the shop, production re-equipment. The total amount of required investment: $370 thousand

  24. Resumption of work „Zhovtnevi kovbasy” The name of the enterprise: „Zhovtnevi kovbasy” The core of the project: complete overhaul of industrial premises, purchasing of equipment. The total amount of required investment :$1,5mil «Universal sea complex of terminals(USCT) „Halitsyno” The name of the enterprise : LLC “USCT „Halitsyno” The core of the project : buildingof a loading-unloading sea private terminal. The core of the project : $2410 mil

Building of infrastructural assets of roadside territory along the state highway : Odesa– Melitopol- Novozavodsk The initiator of the project: Agriculturaloperatingco-operative society „Ukrainskiy Pivden” The core of the project: buildingof the parking for motor cars and motor transport, freight terminals, container depots, hotel, catering centers, shops, as well as necessaryengineering structures and utility lines. The total amount of required investment : $ 5 mil.

  26. Expansion of the tomatoes processing complex The name of the enterprise: “Organic-Systems” The core of the project: building of additional tomatoes processing complex. The total amount of required investment : $13,9 mil. Reopening of intensive farmingat PMUagricultural enterprise“Rodnichok” The core of the project: purchasing of farm machinery, buildingand modernization of irrigation systems. The total amount of required investment : 21 mil.uah.
