What is Readiness? • A developmental point at which a system has the capacity and willingness to engage in a particular activity • Readiness is part of both initiating and scaling up of an innovation • Scaling Up is where 60% of the students who can benefit from the innovation have access to it
Stages of Implementation Exploration and Adoption Program Installation Initial Implementation • Exploration & Adoption • Installation • Initial implementation • Full Operation • Innovation • Sustainability Sustainability
Dimensions of Readiness • Identification and validation of need (Exploration) • Consideration of required changes (Exploration) • Planning for change (Installation) • Communication Plan (Installation) • Implementation Plan (Installation) • Data Collection and reporting plan (Installation)
Accountability for creating readiness rests with the implementation team, not with those who are expected or invited to change.
