VEHICLE RELEASES: -Vehicle releases can be obtained at any hour. However, the ability to retrieve your vehicle depends upon the operating hours of the towing company. -If your vehicle is towed under “John’s Law” (DWI), you must wait twelve (12) hours before a vehicle release will be issued. -Once you obtain your vehicle release will be directed to the tow lot. -You must have valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance card. State law prohibits the release of a vehicle without proof of valid insurance. -Vehicles will ONLY be released to the registered owneror proof of having power of attorney. HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS FINGERPRINTING: -Fingerprinting is done by appointmentonly and on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of a month between 10 AM and 4 PM. -This is a service for ABSECON residents ONLY. -You must bring the fingerprint cards provided by your employer or educational institution. -The fee is $5 for each set of two cards, $5 for each additional card.

DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 OR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO REPORT POWER OUTAGES UNLESS THERE IS AN OBVIOUS THREAT DUE TO WIRES DOWN, WIRES ARCING, OR TRANSFORMER FIRES/EXPLOSIONS. You must call Atlantic Electric yourself to provide specific account information. The police depart-ment is not able to give any status updates on the conditions of power outages. We are informed by the power company in the same manner is the public. Calling the police department will just over-whelm the communications center and could interfere with possible true emergency responses.
