  7. As you read the scripture passage on the slide that follows become aware of what word or phrase speaks to you? Continue when ready

  8. God said to Elijah: “Go out and stand on the mountain before your God.” Then God went by. There came a mighty wind, but God was not in the wind. After the wind came an earthquake, but God was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire but God was not in the fire. After the fire came the sound of a gentle breeze... God was in the gentle breeze. 1 Kings 19:10-13 Continue when ready

  10. Elijah did not meet God in the mighty wind, the fire or the earthquake, but in the gentle breeze. However it was in the earthquake moments of the excommunication, that Mary experienced the calm gentle presence of God.. Continue when ready

  11. I do not know how to describe the feeling, but I was intensely happy and felt nearer to God than I had ever felt before. The sensation of the calm beautiful presence of God I shall never forget. 22/10/1871 Continue when ready
