Reminders • Sub-section using the rod as a guide • Sub-section cannot be longer than the rod • Sub-section cannot be wider than the diameter of the rod • Use less tension than with magnetic rollers • Ends must be completely covered with paper or they will burn (FISHHOOKS) Cosmetology I - Permanent Wave End Wraps

  3. Double End Wrap • Use for highly tapered hair • Lay hair on bottom paper • Make sure it is smooth • Lay paper on top of hair • Pull papers down slightly to cover ends Cosmetology I - Permanent Wave End Wraps

  4. Single End Wrap • Lay paper on top of hair • Place rod underneath hair • Pull paper down slightly to cover ends Cosmetology I - Permanent Wave End Wraps

  5. Single End Wrap • Wrap hair ends with preferred wrapping method • When ends appear at center strand, use this method to cover and protect them Cosmetology I - Permanent Wave End Wraps

  6. Book End Wrap • Turn paper lengthwise • Fold in center • Place ends into the “book” • Keep hair spread out across paper • DO NOT TRIFOLD Cosmetology I - Permanent Wave End Wraps
