Hurricane Harvey • OSHA has been working closely with FEMA, local, state, and other federal partners to ensure worker safety and health is a priority during recovery operations. • Includes providing technical support, and distributing safety and health publications and guidance documents related to hurricane and flood clean-up and recovery operations.
Hurricane Harvey • OSHA has a 25-day FEMA mission assignment to: • Develop the Health and Safety Plan (HASP); • Provide onsite technical assistance during the establishment of 5-7 base camps; and, • Chair the Joint Federal Agency Safety and Health Committee.
Hurricane Harvey • OSHA has conducted more than: • 630 safety and health interventions; • 521 outreach activities assisting employers and workers in identifying unsafe or potentially unsafe working conditions. • Response teams reached more than 9,058 workers; and, removed 2127 workers from hazards.
