Assessing Your Risk of Exposure To determine what type of PPE you should be using, ask yourself 3 questions: 1. Where are my opportunities for exposure to H1N1?
3. Where am I performing my task(s)? Are there other people with influenza like illness (ILI) symptoms present?
Determine Your Risk - Choosing Appropriate PPE No Contact – wash your hands Exposure to suspected or confirmed H1N1 persons – gown, gloves, and respiratory protection (surgical mask or N95 +/- face shield as indicated by PCRA) AGMP Direct Care - gown, gloves, eye protection and N95 mask
