Year 12 Media Critical Evaluation
Evaluation • Seven evaluation questions • Each must be answered in a range of different digital medium
Evaluation Q1: • In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? • Use an online presentation software to do this task.
What should I include in this section of the evaluation. • You should really do four things in this task: • Explain what your media product is and which brief you were working to. You can give a short summary of the plot of your film here if you like • Identify the conventions of film openings, particularly in your chosen genre based on reading and your product research. (You should include embedded films, stills and other images here ) • Explain which of these conventions you used in your film opening - which shots or edits are associated with your genre? ( Again, you should use images, stills or video clips from your own film opening) • Explain the ways that you think your film develops or challenges the conventions of film openings and your genre(Use stills and video examples) • Do a complete textual analysis on your own film opening, commenting on Camera/M-E-S/Sound/Editing again using stills and clips
