Introduction • A few lamp-manufacturers offer 2000W Short Arc lamps, though the majority has a very short lifetime, meaning very high Costs of Ownership : • - frequent high exchange costs • - frequent hassle / dark spots • and…… lack of confidence that the installation will perform properly during the match to come……

Practical Advice • Luminaires need to be properly designed for the very high temperatures in these 2000 W systems. This is valid for all kind of 2000 W lamps available in the market • Luminaires which are not designed properly, will get polluted. This results in the need for regular cleaning of the entire luminaire. Polluted luminaires will result in shorter lamp-life
