  1. Effort Reporting Updates, Deadlines, and Open Lab Sessions Commitment Accounting/Effort Reporting Users Group Meeting September 30th, 2013

  2. Effort System Fixes in Production! • We now have the ability to add 214 projects to the system so that Effort Certifications will pick up the Project PI.

  3. Effort System Fixes in Production! • The automatic fill in for the search criteria from the effort system to the commitment system has been resolved. • Now when you click on the link in effort certification it will take you straight to the project.

  4. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Over the Cap for New Projects • This was not calculating for the first period of the commitment. This should now be resolved. If you see any please notify us and we can trigger the system to do it for you.

  5. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Course Number Ending with 6971 • You now have the ability to override this particular course ID, but please pay attention before doing so, because if a grant did not fund this course or the student did not work on the research for the grant that is paying salary, then the course should not be overridden.

  6. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Transferring Departments for Effort • If you transfer departments and still do effort, the system did not drop the previous department ID’s and you would still have access. This issue has now been resolved.

  7. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Commitments Updating Approved FARS • Even if a FAR was fully approved, if a new commitment was entered or adjusted it would update a fully approved FAR on the same version. This has been resolved and will no longer update FARs that are approved.

  8. Reminder! • Any outstanding effort that still remain is now considered past due. • If you need assistance contact us and we will be happy to work with you to get it resolved, effort@admin.ufl.edu

  9. Reminder! Required Effort Training to Maintain the UF_ET_EFFORT_COODINATOR role is due TODAY! That includes RSH220 and RSH230 that can be taken online.
