Forensic Food Analysis Conclusions Macromolecule tests indicated that all four victims consumed an appetizer containing glucose because the Benedict's reagent turned orange when investigating their stomach contents.
The only appetizer that contained glucose monomers was the candied sugar cocktail, therefore, it must be concluded that this was the poisoned food.
The candied sugar cocktail was prepared by Jim Lockpicker so he must be the person who poisoned the Parker's Party.
This lab allowed us to conduct tests for the monomers and forms of three of the four major macromolecules (SB1c). Benedict's – glucose monomers of carbohydrates Lugol's Iodine – starch form of carbohydrate Biuret – amino acid monomers of proteins If a macromolecule were a train, then the cars on the train would be the monomers.
Macromolecules are polymers made of monomers. Macromolecules are bigger molecules made of smaller pieces called monomers.
