Teacher Directions • Pass out onset cards of the following letters: f, s, p, m, l, r, b, c, h, s. (Either write them on index cards or use letters you already have.) • Have students study the rimes on the next slide. If they can put their onset in front of a rime, click on the rime and let the child bring his/her onset to be placed in front of the rime. • Decide if the word is a real word or a nonsense word. Record the newly created words in a list sorted by real words and nonsense words. Use the words in a sentence or story! • When you want to stop, right click with your mouse.
