Therefore sometimes differences between group members. • If your group failed and (think you’ll) have IELTS 6: • Improve report at latest before deadline = May the 12th of May • Do presentation again with Prof. Guo, before deadline = May the 12th of May . Make the appointment for the presentation yourself in time!
Feedback assignment 3 (2) • Report: Put references (information sources) in a reference list, but also in the text!! • Reference list = complete information, start with author • In text= only author and year • Presentation: make it interesting for the audience! • Don’t read from your paper or the screen • Look at the audience • The audience will not eat you and you’re the expert, so be confident. • Not too long
Feedback exam (1) • 22 questions of 3 choices, so 7 good answers (15 wrong) is already your luck chance. • If you have many mistakes: What went wrong? Problems understanding English, problems motivation….? • 22!! correct: Sarah • 20 correct: Nancy • 16 correct: 6 students • 15 correct: 2 students • 12 correct: 1 student
Feedback assignment 2 (1) • Not everybody passed • If you failed and (think you’ll) have IELTS 6: • Improve and hand in report before deadline = May the 12th • Do presentation again with Prof. Guo, before deadline = May the 12th. Make the appointment for the presentation yourself, in time.
Feedback assignment 2 (2) • Same comments as for assignment 3: • Report: Put references (information sources) in a reference list, but also in the text • Presentation: make it interesting for the audience • An abstract should be: your report in brief. So an abstract is not an introduction. Include the main outcomes (results/conclusions)! • Conclusions should give a brief answer about your research. They should not contain new information.
Assignment 4a- UBM assignment • Aliya and Alex • Jo and Nancy • Maggie and Shirley • Luke and Vanessa • Guo, Neil and Sarah • Chantal and Fran Deadline: Thursday May the 12th E-mail to both Prof. Guo and albertien.kijne@wur.nl If you don’t make it for the IELTS 6, don’t hand in the report(s).
