Background • Bradford & Airedale – Previously 4 PCTs • Only PCT to host Self Care for People & Self Care for Professionals – April 05 • Bradford District Health Development Partnerships • 528,000 population with 300+ languages / dialects • 1/3 live in a rural area • Approx 24% ethnic minority population – 40% births to South Asian families • High Inequalities – PCT Priority
Aims • Deliver Self Care Skills Training Course: 9 hours: 3 x 3 hours or 6 x 1.5 hours • 288 Research Participants • Target Parents of Toddlers and Workplaces (men) Resources (Sept 05) • 0.5 wte Senior Health Promotion Specialist • 0.5 wte Health Promotion Specialist Time • All trainers are skilled and experienced
