  5. Faith Ringgold • Ringgold earned a bachelor’s degree in 1955. • She the taught art in NYC public schools. • Then got her master’s degree at City College on 1959

  6. Faith Ringgold • She also wrote books. • Her 1st book was called “Tar Beach”. • “Tar Beach”was awarded for illustration among a lot of other honors.

  7. Faith Ringgold • Here is one of all her paintings that she did. • It’s called The American People Series #6: Mr. Charlie • It was painted in 1964. • And it is 42” x 24”.
