Modern Movie: Finding Nemo Disney and Pixars Finding Nemo represents Romanticism because it shows a little fish trying to grow up and be his own individualist. He also looks up to people and idolizes them. Finally, because it takes place mostly in the ocean, it represents a profound love of nature.
Romantic Architecture • Swedish Architecture from the early 20th Century. The “Swedish National Romantic Architecture” was an old style of craftsmanship with their new genuine tastes added in. Romantic Gardens • This garden represents Romanticism because not only does it represent nature, but also represents mystery by having the gate at the end of a long pathway. It is also very picturesque.
American Artist:William Merritt Chase This painting represents Romanticism because it displays a profound love of nature, and also has a certain mysterious quality to it. William was an American Artist who lived from 1849 till 1916. He put out over 2000 paintings in his lifetime. Shinnecock Hills, 1895
European Artist:Claude Monet Water Lilies, 1897-1898 • He was born on November 14th, 1840 in Paris France, and died December 5th, 1926. This painting represents Romanticism because the one darker lily represents individualism. The painting also represents a profound love of nature.
American Artist:Emanuel Leutze Washington Crossing the Delaware, 1851. This painting represents Romanticism because George Washington is someone whom they are all looking up to as an indiviualist and also idealist.
