  2. We believe that “Health and safety is essentially about good planning, good risk management and demonstrating a concern for your staff and others.

  3. Service provision • Advice – Legislative requirements/document content/setting standards to manage health and safety • Inspection – workplace visit/review of documents & processes or audit compliance • Training – Examples include: Induction to management/ Risk assessment/DSE/Manual Handling/Fire Marshal/ NEBOSH HSW (3 Day) and NEBOSH National General Certificate

  4. Services Provided to • SME’s • Third Sector • Large Companies • Open courses for individuals eg NEBOSH

  5. Where Services Provided • Primarily Scotland • Available across UK

Why Manage Health and Safety Basically there are three reasons: • the morale aspect (we don’t want to harm our fellow workers or workforce) • We must comply with legislation(duty of care to others – employees, visitors, contractors) • Financially(we are in business to make money not waste it on paying fines or defending ourselves in court or losing business through loss of reputation)

How can we manage health and safety? • Employers need to develop a health and safety policy • Develop arrangements within the organisation structure to identify hazardsand control risk • Monitor compliance with legislation and those standards set within the organisation • Review arrangements with a view to continual improvement
