Her Connection to Blue Ridge Annie Lee Myrick was a citizen of the small town of Blue Ridge and was a stay-at-home mom that would do anything to help her family. She attended Frognot school from where she graduated at 16 years old. She went to church every Sunday at Blue Ridge United Methodist Church where she worshipped God and taught a Sunday School Class.
Her Life Annie attended school at Frognot where she graduated top of her class. She went on to marry Pink Aubry Myrick in a wagon on November 27, 1921 in Blue Ridge, Texas. Together they raised 6 kids in Blue Ridge. Their names are Doyce, Melba, Thresa, Viva, Aubry, and Freda.

Things that Happened During Her Life • Bonnie and Clyde came through town in 1929. • The Blue Ridge State Bank was robbed in 1930 and robbers took 3 hostages and after they drove off, after a few minutes they dropped them off in the Fayburg community which is on Highway 78 South. The robbers names were Machine Gun Kelly, Eddie Dial, and Edward Bentz. They were called “The Kelly Gang.”
Her Last Day Annie died on May 24, 1984 at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas due to complications from a fall when she hit her head on the corner of her dresser in her bedroom.
