  4. Situation You and a friend are thinking of going on a diet. You are first going to discuss what your ideal weight would be. You work out your BMI (see also the following pages) and together you discuss various possible diets. You decide which diet would be the best in each case. You discuss pros and cons of the various possibilities, also weighing the medical consequences. Finally, you conclude it would be inspiring to have a list of ‘good intentions’, printed large so that you will not easily give up….

Do you think you need to go on a diet? • Discuss various possibilities: also consult the following sites for more info: • www.dietsurf.com • Independently of each other, select a diet. • Now discuss your choices. Make a recording of your conversation. • Finally, draw up a list of do’s and don’ts.
