  3. All About It • Alternative ways fast food/restaurants can distribute their untouched food • Instead of disposing it, donate it to food banks/homeless shelters • Help the environment and help a community

  4. Continue • Impact of food waste isn’t just financial • Food waste= wasteful use of chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides) • More fuel use for transportation, more rotting food (this creates more methane gas) • Drinking water can be contaminated from solid waste landfills

  5. Fun Facts • In the United States 30% of all food, worth $48.3 billion is thrown away each year. • 1 in 6 people in America face hunger • Request for emergency food assistance is increasing
