  3. Reason #1 : Healing confirms the Truth of the Gospel (physical healing is proof of the deeper healing that the Gospel will bring) Mark 1:32-34 : Beginning of Jesus’ ministry; Mark 3:1-5 : Man with the Shriveled Hand

Faith is • Going to Jesus • Humbly seeking healing from Jesus • Acknowledging that you have sinned against God, and be willing to repent and seek forgiveness from God • Believing that Jesus has the power to heal you, that He is willing to heal you • Isaiah 53:5 – “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”

Faith is • Going to Jesus • Humbly seeking healing from Jesus • Acknowledging that you have sinned against God, and be willing to repent and seek forgiveness from God • Believe that Jesus has the power to heal you, that He is willing to heal you • An open, visible Act • There is a need for Perseverance – don’t give up, even if there is a delay in the healing • Lack of Faith will limit even Jesus – Mark 6:5-6 : “Jesus could not do any miracles there … Jesus was amazed at their lack of faith”

  12. James 5:14-16 “Is any one of you sick ? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
