  3. Background of the Session • The Protocol on SEA to the Espoo Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context was signed in May 2003; • 36 countries and by the EC; • WP of the Espoo Convention. IAIA SEA Prague05 29th of September 2005

Objectives of the session • to present the draft Manual (5th consultation after Brussels - 2004, Szentendre, Tbilisi and Geneva - 2005) • to collect comments on the draft Manual • to influence its content, distribution and use. • to collect possible contributions to the Manual (ideas, comments, sources of information and reference materials/projects) IAIA SEA Prague05 29th of September 2005
