  8. Grading We’ll use rubric grades of 1, 2, 3, 4, and symbols. The rubric numbers stands for the following: 4 = above grade level standard 3 = at the grade level standard 2 = approaching, but below grade level standard 1 = significantly below the grade level standard

Classroom Expectations (cont.) • Consequences  • Warning • Miss Recess • Note or phone call home and/or - Student/Teacher/Parent conference ***If homework is not turned in, or if students get more than one warning throughout the week, students will miss Fun Friday and will be expected to complete the missing assignments or silent read***

Homework • Working on time management and organization • District requirements • 15-25minutes a night, not including nightly reading (15-25minutes/night) • Independent reading • 15-25 minutes per nigh ****Homework will begin next week. Students will have reading, spelling, and math each night. We will spot check homework but please make sure to check at home as well.

This is a Transition Year A note from the District Office Our current educational shifts will have a systemic impact on current practices such as curriculum, instruction, assessment, and reporting. Look for a parent resource guide to be shared this fall, as well as upcoming information nights to outline these exciting changes in more detail.
