An installation on the Times Square Spectro Billboard Jenny Holzer The third phase of Holzer's For the City, projected on the Fifth Avenue side of the New York Public Library She is a conceptual artist best known for her text-based work. They have been constructed from truisms such as ‘abuse of power comes as no surprise’. Holzer has been able to create public discussions about violence, sexuality, feminism and death by experimenting with displaying visual words in public spaces. Holzer’s starting point was street posters which has led to the use of LED screens that run with texts, painted signs and sound.
