Technical Resources & Reach Plan FY05 Success 1 Today Tomorrow • MVP Academy runs 10 courses per quarter with 350 participants. • Beginning to utilize Leads/MVPs in training opportunities. • Increasing partners in MVP Training throughout Microsoft. • Technical Training offered beyond the scope of courses. • On-going opportunities for Technical Training orchestrated from Leads/MVPs making our Training Ground a key feedback source for Product Groups. 3 2 • Goal: • Engage and Enable Leads/MVPs how to instruct/design courseware/training. • Build broad relationships with Microsoft Internal Groups to enrich our resource pool to leverage training materials/instructors. (MCT, Product Readiness, MS Learn). • Communicate to influencer groups/community the return of our training investments to post throughout the community (Microsites, Newsletters, Emails). • Make monthly requests to desired MS groups/Leads for training needs and the best means of delivery. • Acknowledge MVPs who deliver training in the awards process. • Develop models of course development for Leads/MVPs to get content to realization. The software-world we live and work in is developing at an ever quickening pace. It's difficult to keep up, and still make a living. The MVP Academy helps us expand our knowledge and keep up with developments without having to physically go somewhere to take a course. It also provides a great deal of personal scheduling flexibility. And we can be reasonably sure the instructors are experts on their topic. Knowledge about emerging technologies can help us better advise clients, and provide them better services, in a more timely and cost-effective manner. -Cindy Meister, Office MVP. • Over the next two quarters we will: • Raise sat numbers to 60 and 65 respectively. • Offer 10 new training opportunities that utilize our new partner groups. • Involving 3 new languages into the scope of training (German, French, Korean). • Offer a range of new delivery methods (webcasts, live-meetings, and seminars). • Key Benefits: • Adding further value to MVPs Professional Knowledge/Skills and Credibility within MVP Program. • Utilizing Community Experts to add more value across technical groups. • Increasing the impact/feedback of Microsoft Readiness and Support Groups. • Key Risks: • Making sure course content is partner ready. • Training initiatives from MVPs follow MS Training Policies. • High costs for vendors in program development.
